I forget what model I have, but I have a Bushnell Trophy Cam. It takes pics and video as has all the bells and whistles. even has a removable SD card to switch out and a viewer inside. It was about 229.00 new but I think they are about 189.00 now

I have the Moultrie M-80. Pretty decent, but the night time pics tend to be blurry at times. I understand the newer models have made improvements? I do like the small size of it.
Trigger speed is slow, so, I make sure to aim it down a trail. I also have mine set to take 3 pics each time it triggers. I often get different angles on bucks antlers and also get the next deer coming in a string of deer.

Brad, have you used that m80 in a food plot? How was the trigger time.
I have a Trophy Cam and it takes nice day time pics but the flash at night is very poor. Checked mine on saturday and it had taken no pics for 2 weeks. Video works but can't get it to take pics. I think it has a 2 year warranty but hate to take it out of the field now so it's staying on video. The video is pretty good though.

I think the trigger time is 1.5 seconds. I have 2 of them over plots.
My buck pics in this forum were all taken with the M-80's. I just have to aim them down the plot and not perpendicular to it.
I'd like to try the new M-80 xt's. That will be my next camera. If they improve the blur at night, then it should be a decent camera. Would like to have a quicker trigger, but, then I'd spend more for a camera and not have as many out. I think having an extra camera out beats, missing a pic or 2.
Right now, I have 4 cameras out on 400 acres. A 5th one might be nice, but, it does take time just checking cameras and it also disturbs the woods.
When one of my older Moultries goes bad, I'll get an XT.

I sure like the small size of those Moultries. The boxes are nice as well.
Thats a good price, where did you order from? I may just get one as well.

Got it off ebay from a company called Pine Mountain Archery. They had an excellent rating and have a bunch of auctions for these. I did the buy it now b/c I don't have the time to keep track of an auction. Probably could have saved a few bucks by waiting on an auction though.

Well, I bid on another one, for my brother and lost it. Then, went in and looked, and there was one with the buy it now, which turned out to be cheaper than the one I bought. A buck or 2, thats all.
But really, thats a very good deal because it comes with the bear box for that price.

I bought this Wildgame Innovations IR 2-pack a couple of weeks ago: www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=W6X2-6-MP-Micro-IR-Digital-Scouting-Camera-2-Pack&i=450792&aID=503AC3B&merchID=4006I had them in my yard for a week and just pulled them after 3 nights out on public land. I was sold first by the IR feature, and then the price (I paid $125, free shipping). They are compact and it's really hard to see them as you set them and walk away. As long as you don't set them facing the sun, they do pretty good during the day. I've gotten some glare on some day shot where the photo is completely washed out. The night images are a bit blurry, but effective. So I don't know... I guess I'd recommend them because of the price, they are built solid, they are compact, but the photo quality isn't perfect. They are back out in the yard now, and one is set to video. They are pretty stealthy by the way when they go off. Trigger time is 1 sec... I'd post a photo but need to figure out how...

I have went through alot of trailcams throughout the year. I've really become fond of the HCO and UWAY models. Last year I got an NX80 nighttracker by UWAY. It has been the first camera I've ever had to not even have a "hiccup". Excellent wide angle pics, High Def video with sound, temp, moon. Awesome trigger speed as well. Neat little view finder built right in. I'm really happy with it, and I'm going to slowly start selling other cams to get a few more of these. They are 189.99 right now.

The Spypoint IR7.... great camera. You can get them ebay for $150.00. But any camera at the price range you talking about will work good!

If it wasn't for the economical price of the two WGIs I got with a 1 second trigger speed for $125, I'd say the most critical thing after IR, is to get that 1/3 second trigger speed if you can. I'd pay extra for it.

I just got another Moultrie M80 in the mail yesterday from Pine Mountain Archery, purchased off Ebay. I got the camera and the security box as a package deal for $127.00. This is the third M 80 I have bought off Ebay. I also have a Bushnell Trophy camera. It seems to take higher quality photos. Battery life during summer is excellent, but during the cold weather of winter I have to change batteries more frequently.

I have an M-80 and love the size of it and the daytime pics, the night time pictures can leave a lot to be desired at times. I'd like to try one of the BLX models with the 'invisible' infrared flash. Can't justify dropping the dough at this point in time though. lol
