Batteries are in and charged. Motor oil changed lower unit oil changed. Fuel and water seperator filter changed, spare filter onboard. I was having problems with lights on trailor last year and traced the problem to wireing( half assed from factory). You would think they know these get used in salt water and would do a better job of sealing connections. Rewired trailor. Soldered shrink tubed and liquid tape sealed all connections and replaced lights with LED lights. Man i'm ready to go fishing. 1ST week in may should be our first trip weather and water temp. permitting.

Sh!t, you reminded me on the "charge". I pulled the Harley out over the weekend since it was so nice. Well, of course, battery DEAD. It's still on a 2 Amp charge from Saturday. Gotta yank it off today and get it in.

Hope you catch some Longhunter! It really amazes me how many people are into saltwater fishing. I never went but may someday. Good luck!

I'm still pondering what course of action to take with my boat. Last fall my Yamaha OX66 200 blew up! Trying to decide what to do. All options are expensive: 1) rebuild. Probably about $6k minimum. 2) remanufactured power head about $5k and still have to do injectors. 3) buy another boat. Can't find one meets needs and affordable. 4) buy new engine - $15k +. Might be the best way to go, but man does that hurt. 5) sell the boat with blown engine and play more golf.
Decisions, decisions...

We spent yesterday morning waxing the boat (hole in the water surrounded by fibreglass into which money is poured). It gets launched sometime early in May in time for boating on Lake Raystown. Discussed the idea of selling it and getting out of boating. W 1 FE unit (Dennis categorizes as "She Who Must Be Obeyed") pronounced that we will get one more summer out of it and then decide. Engine has less than 200 hours on it, which is hardly broken in for a 1999 model. Upon completion of the wax job, we returned home in time for me to fire up the TroyBuilt rototiller and do the garden. Perhaps the above are the reason for a few sore muscles this morning? This is what boat will look like in a month or so.

If the weather hold for this weekend we may make the run to CHI. The flounder bite looks hot right now. Trailor inspected yesturday and wheel bearings checked and greased. Just got to throw a few things in the boat and we're ready.

The run 2 years ago broke loose around April first with a abnormally warm winter but this year seems later due to colder winter causing colder water conditions. My buddy was down in Wachapreague all last week but havent got a report from him yet.
