My brother and myself are heading to the ANF to enjoy 2 days of grouse hunting. Bought a hunt at the local RGS banquet last winter, sponsored by Tcaddis, and will enjoy the time spent hunting a new area.
May come home with an empty bag, but lots of lifetime memories!

Have fun, hope you bring a couple home! Take some pics too.
Check yourself for ticks once you are done for the day. Damn things are a pain most places it seems.

None of them admit it to me, , My fathers family farm was a top what is now Mt. Pleasant rd, likely walking distance of your relatives place on towpath road, all of that being game lands now there are no dwellings or residents to let me know. The 79 bridges that span the swanp at Geneva cut the road and erie canal where they pass, hence "towpath" road ends there.

My fathers grandmothers name was Rung, as in Rung road, it meets Mt pleasant above what would have been the old tow path road that your family lived on.

Doesn't ring a bell with me, but the next time I talk to my Aunt, I'll ask her. She had a beauty shop in Meadville and knows just about everyone up there. In fact one of her previous customers was Sharon Stone. That was back in the day before she was in movies. But my Aunt said she was a beautiful girl then too.

Sharon and I were friends as kids, she grew up across the street from my cousins in Saegertown.

It was a fun couple of days. We longed some boot miles. Dogs were tired and happy. A few triggers were pulled. Some loose feathers were seen floating earth bound. We really need to do it again. Next time with more tigger pulling and no ice pellets falling down of us.

Next time with more tigger pulling and no ice pellets falling down of us. Enjoyed the snow and ice pellets, sort of. LOL I pulled the trigger once and that made my weekend. Just seeing the dogs work and seeing new country was a great experience. Base Camp: Tcaddis and some buddies, along with a grouse that flushed in front of the "wrong" shooter. It would still be living if it had flushed in front of me, thats for sure!
