Good to run into friends with dogs! I only had a little time this morning but man was it perfect out! Nice and frosty. We only put up one hen but who cares!

don't understand why you can't shoot the hens not like they survive anyway.

don't understand why you can't shoot the hens not like they survive anyway. Stroupy: you can shoot the hens. We took one. Not my shot though.

Did they change it or can some areas shoot them. My area I can't unless I am wrong.

Most WMUs are either sex. Rooster only areas either have a WPRA in them or have one in the area.

PHEASANT:
Male only in WMUs 2A, 2C, 4C, 4E, 5A and 5B – Oct. 26 –Nov. 30, Dec 16 –24 and Dec. 26 –Feb 22.
Male and female may be taken in all other WMUs – Oct. 26 –Nov. 30, Dec. 16 –24 and Dec. 26 –Feb. 22 (2 daily, field possession limit of 4). No open season for pheasants in any Wild Pheasant Recovery Areas.

I'm now laughing as not only do I have a shoot from a vehicle permit…..but yesterday as I was hunting near the big "L" dam, (I was using my T\C in-line wanting desperately to whack a doe with that firearm!!) I was driving down this small access road and chasing three…..yes three hen pheasant's in front of me!! They refused to fly and refused to jump into the brush on either side!! I think I "collie dogged" these three for about 100 yards before they made a jump to the right. I was LOL the whole time!!
