I think it's an old injury.
I'm thinking it may not have been severe enough to effect the antlers even if it was recent?
My brother said he's missing a yote trap up there. LOL

more than likely a snare. A legal cable restraint would not do that. A snare might. Or it might have been shot off as well. Last year, on the first day of rifle season, I had a pic of a wounded buck coming off the public land next door. Front right leg was dangling from a wound.

Are you sure that leg is missing looks like a leaf in front the leg I believe I see a full leg that looks bent weird?

I saw a picture of one of these "cable restraints" once, never found any in the woods how ever, they have the owners tags on them too so I've heard. They don't seem as popular as snares do however.

Yeah, blew it up more and that leg might be there. Darn, and here I thought I has something unique! Happens to us all with trailcams. I got a picture of a raccoon without a tail last year and was convinced it was some strange new predator of the PA woods. lol
