HCO2387 By Heffley. Exempts hatcheries built more than 20 years ago in the most rural areas from certain regulations. October 11, 2013 10:24 AM Rep. Doyle Heffley
Amending Clean Streams Law: Pennsylvania is home to more than 160 fish hatcheries which help provide for our trout stocking programs, fishing recreation, jobs and revenue, and a sustainable food source for our residents. However, environmental regulations in the Commonwealth have created extreme difficulties for these operations, yet they can operate with little impact on our creeks and streams.
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that would exempt hatcheries built more than 20 years ago in the most rural areas of the Commonwealth from these regulations. This will allow us to continue to balance the protection of our environment with the protection of our small hatchery businesses.

In other words lets keep fining business for pollution, but we will exempt ourselves for such scrutiny. Or are we saying that we went over board with some more stupid regulations that mean nothing and are strangling or country from jobs for our citizens?

And why 20 years ago? Why not grandfather all present hatcheries?
But then, subject new hatcheries to more stringent requirements so they can't afford to build or compete with the "protected" ones. That assures all present hatcheries an unfair advantage.......
Wonder which hatchery is pushing this?

There are laws for the subjects and then their are laws for the ruling class party elites. Ain't socialism grand?
