www.livestream.com/pahousegopWatching the general assembly G&F and Environmental Committees look into IRRC. What a joke. These people should have invited ONE guest- Dr John Organ with US Fish and Wildlife Service. They need to quit pandering to industry. violent-smiley-007

Dear Representatives,
Please be advised that Section 6 of the Endangered Species Act provides for cooperation with States, and allows States to assume a degree of authority and control over endangered species matters. In order for States to be given this power, and the federal funding that comes with it, they must demonstrate they have the institutional capacity and legal authority to identify, list, and manage endangered species. If this infrastructure is dismantled, control will revert to the federal government.

Oh, that would mean more stringent regulation as they relate to T&E- and the PGC and Fish and Boat would lose funding for these special programs.

Good for Carl for setting the record straight. Pyle keeps talking about the Indiana bat as th catalyst for this bill. The Indiana bat is a FEDERALLY listed species, not a state one.
If those are the types of strongholds he objects to - he should reconsider this bill in a BIG way.
And Arway hit it when he said "If states listed their rare and endangered; there would be no need for a federal listing"
Anyone wonder why I think many of our legislatures have their heads up their respective patooties?
