* August 22, 2013 04:01 PM * Rep. Jaret Gibbons * Constitutional Amendment Increasing Term Lengths for the General * Assembly and Instituting Term Limits 2013-2014 * * * * * * * In the near future, we plan to reintroduce House Bill 920, Printer's * Number 983, which was introduced during the 2011-2012 legislative * session. This legislation would amend the Constitution of the * Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by increasing the length of terms for * members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate. In * addition, our bill would place term limits on the number of successive * terms a member of the General Assembly could serve in each chamber. * * * * Specifically, this proposal would increase the length of the term for * a Representative in the General Assembly to four years and place half * of the House districts on the ballot for election every two years. * Representatives would be limited to three successive terms for a total * of 12 years of service. Additionally, the Senate would see the length * of its terms increased to six years. Senators would be limited to two * successive terms for a total of twelve years of service. * * * * We hope you will join us in co-sponsoring this legislation.

Its actually a good bill. Imagine some of the "playing to the crowd" could stop and business (of the people) could actually get done.

Good bill, but will never be passed and the GOP, who controls things, and says they want it, will never voted for it.
