I'm part of a controlled bowhunt in the township I live in. I went to the police station at 3:15 and signed in to where I would be hunting for the late afternoon/early evening. I got in my stand around 3:45. Around 4:30 a guy shows up, waves to me and climbs Ito his stand. I couldn't believe it. I held my hands out with a WTF gesture, but the guy just shrugs and looks the other way. So now I'm ready to go ballistic. After calming down a bit, I decided to pull my stand out. After I get the stand & climbing sticks secured, I start toward his stand because that's the way I get to and from my stand. Now this guy has the nerve to wave me back. I walked up to him and told him he was an expletive slob. He said we could talk about it later, I said expletive you, I've goy nothing more to say to you and now you can have this place all to self. The guy saw that I signed in for that piece of open space, he parked right behind me in the cul-de-sac so he knew I was thee, and instead of taking a climbing stand somewhere else, he decides to right next to me. I'm still livid over this slob.

Bad deal for sure but the end result is the guy got the spot--If it were me I would stayed and if it's a good spot, I'd be back

Next time, try this method. Some years ago, I was set up on a mountain east of Shade Gap. I was dressed completely in blaze orange, so the guy couldn't have missed me when he walked in 50 yards below me and sat down. I fumed for a minute or so and then said in a loud voice, "Looks like a good spot, doesn't it?" He looked at me and said quietly I should keep my voice down so as not to scare the deer and I replied in even a louder voice "Didn't you see I was here first? Guess what, fella. Neither of us is going to see a deer today if you don't move." He moved on. I shot my buck about an hour later.

Here in Lancaster county I got permission to hunt a couple farms.Every one had a guy claiming he had stands all over the land so basically he had all land tied up.The last time I told the guy he could only hunt one stand at a time and being the landowner also gave me permission I had the right to hunt near one of his stands he wasn't using. I gave up.The heck with it,I'll drive three hours to hunt for the hassle free peaceful environment.

I had some real good areas local to home, I still do some scouting and STILL have people calling me to see if I have seen anything
