John Kennedy announced, on January 2, 1960, that he intended to run for President.
Keep in mind, the election was only 10 MONTHS later.
Look at where we are today. Running for President has become a full time job, lasting for YEARS!
Maybe we need a law that says no one can announce their candidacy more than one year before the actual election, preferably, 10 months.
I think Bobby Kennedy announced in March of 1968, for the November election.
We have become, now, more than ever, a nation of professional politicians.
Look at Paul Ryan, since he graduated from college, as far as I know, he has never held a job in the private sector and has been involved in politics all his adult life.
If term limits are good for the President, we also need them for the rest.
I am now, totally convinced that these people only work for their Parties, and not for the best interests of the American people. Whatever it takes to win the next election, lie, cheat, stretch the truth, they will do in order to be elected.
I am completely fed up with both of our parties and their lack of truthfullness about each other on issues.
Ok, Sunday morning rant is over.
