Personally,I think we should bring back the colloseum. I was standing in it last October. What an experience to be inside and to stare up to where the emperors sat and envisioned the throngs of people watching. Man, the history.

Hockey players do every thing athletic that all other sports do.....except they do it on ice.

I am 59 years old and play in a beer league. Even though there is zero tolerance for fighting it happens. The young guys are usually the scrappy ones. Last season I ended up in the middle of a bench clearing fight (didn't end up in in all out brawl) The whole time I am thinking I am too old for this crap. The fans love the fighting aspect and sometimes it is necessary to send a message to the other team. I am for fighting in certain circumstances. It is the cheap shots that are not good and where a lot of injuries take place.

Malkin should have been gone 8 years ago, IMO. I agree, That doesn't mean I don't think he is a good hockey player, he is for sure. He takes to many stupid penalties and we could have traded him early and really benefited with some good picks.

I never watched hockey, but never understood the tolerance for fighting.

But did you dress as a gladiator? No, but there were people dressed as gladiators outside selling souvenirs.

It's gotten a little better. I remember this game quite well. I was at a game where the Bruins came in to the stands at the civic arena. Notice McNabb hitting a fan with his own shoe lol
Scroll ahead to the 1:55 mark.
