I would think that's likely true. And the boomer generation is at the point where their parents have (or soon will) die and those assets will pass to the boomer generation.
I would think a good portion of the boomer parents own their homes and have some savings. So when these assets pass to the boomers, it becomes additional savings for those who have practiced a financially stable life.

I would say yes, and yes I’m a boomer.I have a fairly detailed family tree, so I know who they were. I know my grandparents were better off than my great grandparents, I settled my mother’s estate, I know my worth. Each generation has done better including me, than the previous.. I will be surprised if my daughter or son does as well. I hope I’m wrong.

I'm better off than my parents. I did get an inheritance when Dad passed, but before that, I was in pretty good shape.
My daughter won't be though due to her illness, in fact, I won't be surprised if I outlive her. The only way she will do well is if my ex wife and I leave her a tidy sum. You never know tho because life is unpredictable.
Her soon to be husband has a very good job, but I don't think he's very savvy when it comes to investing retirement money.
We can only hope our kids do well.

I'm doing much better than my parents, but they raised 7 kids on my father's wages as a coal miner.--As a kid I thought My folks planted a huge garden just to give us something to work during summer breaks from school. Now I would love to have a big pantry full of home canned vegetables and tomatoes sauces like we had when I was growing up.
My parents had very little left after passing. They had very little money and medical bills eat nearly every penny.
From lots of hard work, living below my means, saving a bit from every paycheck, and lucky investing, I am more comfortable than I ever expected I'd be. My sons are earning much more now, shortly after graduating college and starting their jobs, than I did at the end of my career. The oldest and the middle sons are very careful with their money. The youngest should be saving more-IMO. All of them learned far more about finances in high school than was taught back in the day. And they started investing when they got their first jobs.
I expect they will continue to do well, but I have seen friends ruined after things like divorce and child support takes so much of what they have worked for so I guess anything can happen.
I hope when I depart this planet there is enough left to leave the boys and charity a pretty fair chunk.

I'm doing better than my parents. But that ain't saying much Same goes here Mike as I even have indoor plumbing!! Sadly, my one set of grandparents did not have running water in their home in 1987. They were then moved into a retirement home, and my grandmother enjoyed it until her death in 1992. My grandfather lived until 1989, but was a prick until the end.

I used to like hunting rabbits with beagles. Our family beagle died 5 or six years ago and, now that the boys are gone, I have no desire to have another dogs around the place. I now like cats much better. Dogs are too needy and the cat can take care of itself with very little care from us.

You people are nuts it's those little parakeets that are the best! The daughters wanted a pet rabbit, guinea pig, cat, dog you name it I talked them into a budgie then the budgie quickly turned into 2 budgies. They are a tad messy but nothing a vacuum cleaner doesn't clean up within seconds. The buggers come out the pen and then fly right back in like they like living in a prison their whole life. 😅

Chicken are wonderful pets if you can free range them. They give eggs and keep the bugs under control. They have drawbacks-flower beds get scratched out, we lost some to cars and 'coons, and if it rains they poop on the porches.

Actually the one's I have only crap in their cage because the nitwits don't like coming out and they are hard to tame up. We have the one over a year and it still is a little jerk. I tell my oldest that if she was a bird she would be Bluey.(it's name) For a 3 ounce bird those buggers have an awfully hard bite for a small bird. It bites everyone but me because I tell it im the bigger a hole. lol but it does draw blood and inflict pain sometimes. It's at the point now it goes to bite and see's it's me and gives up.

That bird would be released on a trap range and be turned into just a puff of blue feathers. 🙂
