I'm gonna wait until the seasons and tag allotment by zones are finalized. You can always go back in & edit but that's a PIA.

I may actually apply to the late season this year. Being pissed that they created the season to get more $$$$ in application fees is what has kept me from applying before. Yes, I know that there is a "official" excuse for the creation of the late season but I aint buying it. Will probably go bull only for all three.

Funny I know of a guy who was an Elk guide for one of the big outfits in Elk County. He got drawn several years back. Not for Cow mind you but for a Bull. Yet I can put in year after year and never get close

I applied first year the PGC had a Late Season 2020(was only Cow that year) & I applied with zero preference points as it was first year & I drew a tag!!! Never expected. Just applied & figured what the heck. Not complaining though.lol In 2020 I also had maximum preference points(& still do) for Regular Elk(both cow & bull) & didn't draw. Go figure.

I really need to get drawn for one of the rifle seasons so I have an excuse to buy a 7mm magnum I have that in the back of my mind except being a 300 Winnie! I have a Rem 700 30-06 which with the right ammo will do the job out to 400 yards. My 6.5X55 Swede although did the job on my 2020 PA Late Season Cow hunt with a lil "encouragement".....thinkin the 06 or a new 300 Winnie may get the lead-off position if drawn again especially on a bull!!

I'm wanting to set up a magnum with a 4-12 scope. An Elk tag would push me in that direction

Rawley called me last night. He said he was adding another USB-C cord to the computer during the secret drawing that is going to skim names out of the pool and into the winners draw. He wanted to make sure he had the spelling right for Mike, Bushy and me. This is the year guys! He said Larry already drew, by the looks of it, so his name will be on the "do not pull" software.

If I ever get drawn and kill a bull, I am calling Doug and pack it out over his shoulders. If you ever get drawn,I'll pack it out with horses. When the hunt first started,I got called a couple times per year to pack them out but every single person wanted me to drag them out.It must be a Pa thing.I'll gladly pack them out pro bono but they're getting quartered. My ferrier camped for a week in Quehanna with his horses.Every call he got wanted him to drag it out lol.
