Last Saturday, the fellow that's cruising timber on my property and I spent the morning defining the property lines in the field. As we got to the bottom of the most northern hollow, he noted something and stated that "It could only have been made by a black bear." I turned to see what he was looking and and noticed a small pool of water with some freshly dug mud. There was no running water in the hollow but the bear knew where he could get a drink on the warm day. The pool wasn't any bigger than a dog's dish and was filled with water. If you look closely, you can see a paw print in the bottom center of the picture.

Yea, Dutch. We're located south of Clearville in Big Creek...west side of Addison Ridge. It's kinda eastern mid Bedford County. We've had recent pictures on the cameras the past couple of years but they're certainly not as prevalent as Tioga County. I don't know if they stay in the area or are just passing through.
