This is the kid my brother took out for the youth season. His grandpa called it in this morning in Potter County.

Great to see. Congratulations to the young turkey hunter! I hope he got to hear it gobbling up close. Few things are as exciting for a hunter.

Awesome! Is that a single shot 20? Yes. He killed the bird at 64 yds with a TSS shell my brother gave him. 9 shot

Yes. He killed the bird at 64 yds with a TSS shell my brother gave him. 9 shot If I am gonna keep up with this shotgun thing for turkey, I am seriously considering a 20 or even a 410 with TSS, after about breaking my nose with that odd angle shot.

Look at the Stevens 301. They make it both in a 20 and 410. Already comes with a choke for TSS and has a rail to mount optics or red dot already on it. Single shot so it is lightweight to carry. Price is somewhere around $200. Pretty good deal being that you don't have to buy a sperate choke.

Here is a picture of the neck of the turkey, taken at 64 yds, with 9 shot TSS. I'm not a turkey hunter, but this is an amazing picture, and result.

Thats crazy for 64 yards! I don't think my 12 with #6 does that good at 40.

Why exactly did they do away with #2 shot when #9 TSS kills effectively AT 64 YARDS? Were they afraid that #2 shot would kill someone at an extreme yardage?
