It's that time again. We have several young bucks making the rounds in daylight and showing little concern for our presence. I was on the porch taking the photo when he decided to lip curl. Attachments:

We have apple trees out back, plus lots of additional apples this fall to keep the local deer happy.
All it takes is one doe out there that's ready for suitors and the boys show up. Most of the bucks that arrive show no interest in the apples, but for one some years ago. He paused to taste an apple and the big boss doe butted him in the ribs.
Not sure if she was protecting "her" apples, or reminding him why he was there?

Not sure if she was protecting "her" apples, or reminding him why he was there? Glad you have apples. WE have "zero" apples this year and I don't know the why for that. We didn't have a late freeze but we just never had many blossoms to begin with.
