With all the roads I have through my property, traversing it with one of these would be wonderful. It's a stand-up version, total electric, cross between a scooter and ATV. Quite and stealthy, I think it would be the cat's meow. I want one!

Lot's of different and new individual electric "terrain vehicles" out there. I've been researching them for over a year. Here's a few that are interesting: The "EZRaider" 4WD....stand up or sit down, but this thing will go anywhere....and fast!! But it's heavy at 280-lbs...and a heavy price of $20,000..!! Then there's the "Terrainhopper". A sit down vehicle built primarily for those with a disabled condition...(but that doesn't mean anyone could own\ride it). It's packed with features....but it's steel frame and everything else puts it's weight at 450-lbs....not including the batteries!! This one can top out at $25,000!! Then there is the Outrider Coyote. This is the model I'm seriously looking at. It weighs (with batteries) about 200-lbs (Aluminum frame) has speed controls...but the top speed can be set at about 22mph. With it's 4WD hub motors it can climb anything I want to climb...and stuff that I don't want to climb. It's not cheap either, but it can also withstand plowing through 8"+ of water (think stream fishing) and can be loaded very easily on the back of a truck...no winching...no strapping in. Toss in and go. It's about $17,000

A quick look at the "dimensions and weight" of this model puts (for me) it into the ....."not gonna consider it" column. The weight of this one is 730-lbs!! My modified cart weights less!!
But...that doesn't discount it for many as this would have features that, for some, would fit the need of what they want!!

It has a very low center of gravity, Dave. Dang near impossible to roll over. Front wheels are outset (wider) than the rear. I also like it for the ease on and off. It can go 40 mph but I don't need that and the torque of an F-150. I have open timber that I'm sure it would negotiate. It's a little pricey at $18,000 but I've gotten off to a head start picking up aluminum cans in the neighborhood.

A big advantage I see of the LyteHorse is minimal noise. A hunting club near a property I hunt uses gas atv's to get to their stands etc. When they fire them up heading out, back & cruisin around I always see spooked deer being pushed through areas i hunt. Amazing how that "put, put, put, put" sound travels!! In fact...I have positioned some stands to take advantage of this.

Here's a video of the companies owner taking it for a ride.....on a family farm in SouthWest Pennsylvania !!! Start the video at about the 3:00 minuet mark to see this running on the Pa farm.
The top speed is reduced via a speed switch on the machine. I don't need THAT much speed....but then....ya know......

Electric vehicles are surely the way to go when you don't want to spook game. My son used to have a buggy like Dave's and a couple years ago he was hauling his FIL with me on the back down a road through open timber. As we rounded a turn, I noticed a rack buck standing just watching us with that WTF look on his face. I told my son to stop and almost got a shot off with my cross bow left handed. Buck was about 40 yards away and just turned and walked off. I told him we should make up a couple running doe silhouettes and mount them to the sides of the buggy.

Here is their website. The only drawback for me would be that it is operated in a stand up position. Not sure my old 80 year abused back could take much of that in rough terrain, but it looks neat. lytehorse.com

Yup. I don't disagree with this philosophy. I told my kids that when I die there will be $10,000 in my bank account......then when they get my CC they will see I spent $10,000 in the last 30 days on "fun stuff for me".
