This summer I took my Leupold 10x40 McKenzie binocular's to the beach with the family. Well, someone, likely one of the grandkids must have been using them and dropped them on the deck....fortunately not down 3 stories!!
The right eye piece "structure" cracked and the eyepiece would not properly work when extended.
I called Leupold as it didn't look like rocket science to replace the part....but they guy said just send them in as it could get more involved than it appeared.
Today in the mail I got a brand new pair of the binocular's...plus a really nice chest pouch for use in the field. WOW!!
Kudo's to Leupold for standing behind their product.....with a lifetime no questions ask, no receipt needed, no registration required, transferable to anyone else....forever....and you don't have to notify them you sold\gave them away!!!

I bought a used Vari X II scope some years ago. The reticle broke. Sent it back to Leupold and simply asked to repair it. Mind you, the serial number said it was made in the late 50s or early 60s. They sent me a new scope.
I like my Leupold Binocs, the McKenzie's

I also have a Leupold story. Way back in 1991 I bought a weatherby vanguard rifle and had a Leupold vari-x II scope put on it. One day at the range, I cycled it through all the powers and noted that the bullet impacts scribed a circle around the bullseye. I called Leupold and asked about it and they said to send it in and they would fix it free of charge. A few weeks later I got a scope in the mail. It was a brand new one. It came with a note that said there was nothing found wrong with the scope. When I checked the serial number it was apparent that they had substituted a brand new one. Leupold is a company that I trust. There aren't too many like them.

All my rifles wear Leupold, or they wear no scope at all.

I've sent one back, a old 1x4 that I had on a couple of different pump rifles. I slipped on the ice at camp one year and fell on it hard. It wouldn't hold POA after that. Told them what happened, they repaired it at no charge, think they even paid the return shipping. Leupold like RCBS, two great companies with great customer service and guarantees.
