In 4A, 4B, and 5A, where CWD is rampant, they left the same knowing that drastic herd reduction is the only proven method to stop the rapid spread of CWD.

Last year I had 4 doe licenses in 4 different WMU's. This year I'll probably do things a bit differently but I still plan to get 4 licenses. I only killed one antlerless last year and the most AL I've ever taken in a year is 2. I don't apply for so many to kill more doe I just hunt a lot of Counties and like to have an AL tag available. I hunted 7 Counties last year.

Last season I had 2 State Forest DMAPs and 3 Antlerless Tags covering 2 WMU's. Like to have different options to hunt other areas although only planned to fill one...which I did.

It never sold out last season. This may be due to fears that CWD might become a problem to human health. I do know some hunters who are not concerned about that and do kill does, but they are not in a majority. Some who have camps in 4A don't even hunt deer there any more.

No wonder less are hunting deer in those areas and they have a difficult time selling the tags they want to.
