Hopefully this won't cause too much stress to yinz. The mutt has been away for too long, and Mugs wants yinz to know he is still going bird hunting at age 14. We sometimes present ourselves as two old guys.

I'll be derned. Was at the church in Ursina on Laurel Hill Creek Saturday, and was wondering if you were still up on the hill from there.

Glad to see you back in here Mutt! Also saw ole JJ recently jump back in too!! I’ve been away too a while at my VA fishing camp upgrading my Lund boat to a new Loadrite Trailer as my old 16 year old Shorelander trailer’s whiskers were past manicuring. Dutches site is much more friendly now with his decision to not allow political based posts. I agree as they serve no purpose plus end result is to serve unneeded adversity between fellow sportsmen.

I'm gonna slide out and see ya one of these days George. Been there twice over the years but you were at camp. Haven't seen Dave in a while so maybe we'll give him a call. Dan

Last Friday we were in camp splitting firewood for the cabin for next year. The snow squalls were pretty intense from time to time, but during the breaks between squalls, we fired up the wood splitter and worked on the pile of cut logs. When we finished stocking the porch with oak wood we started on a pile of logs we had cut from a huge red mape that had blown down during winter. Dave and I started on this, and toward the middle of the pile I saw a whiteout coming. We kept at it right through the squall and finished that pile, putting the split chunks on to my dump trailer. All told, we put in about six hours of work. Both of us are getting a bit "long in the tooth," but at times we can still do a bit. Yep. Every camp needs a Dave. Unfortunately there are far too few of them to fill that need.
