Hoping to go back to Sullivan County camp to catch last day or 2 of regular season. Still have 2 SF DMAP & one 3B antlerless tag but will only be looking for some horns. Have plenty deer meat from my doe killed last week. Also, have on tap a lil job to replace my outside camp light(only if time permits ).

I took this Friday off to hunt. I have doe tags but just haven't felt the itch to pull the trigger. I guess the older I get the more I enjoy the hunt than the other stuff associated with it. I think I am going to take my 454 Casull pistol with me Friday. Haven't shot anything with it yet.

Jordan and I headed out friday after work to do our annual hunt with my brother.I was pretty sure I had a bad tranny sensor and that was confirmed when my truck wouldn't shift out of 4th gear.We turned around and hunted for a few hours back here on saturday.I pushed out some old clearcuts and laurel patches. In less than two hours,I saw one deer and Jordan saw close to 40,making a real nice shot on one.I'm all hunted out right now.

I'm waiting to see if I'll have enough room in my freezer after I get my 2nd deer back from the butcher, then maybe I'll get after another one.

A type of hunting that added another dimension of challenges. Likely killed a hundred deer or so over my 50 plus years hunting and haven’t yet lost the thrill of pulling the trigger/harvest. Although, the overall hunt experience plus spending time in the magnificent outdoors is what continues to float my boat. Same goes for fishing…..still love that solid hookset, drag spinning and depending species the fabulous table fare!😀

If it's just going to rain all day I'm taking my Trapdoor Springfield. After 130 years I think its pretty impervious.

Still at camp. Haven't seen a buck yet and no hurry for a doe. Supposed to rain Saturday. Already had one all day soaker, not in the mood for another. Light snow overnight and 22 this morning. 56 and rain Saturday.

Camp? What the hells that? I dimly remember a time where I would hunt from a Camp in the distant past. Then I married the Camp owners daughter and she wanted to go hunting. But her dad had a rule no wimmins at hunting Camp. So I chose happy wife happy life over hunting Camp. 😐

Weather is sill looking ugly for Saturday. Ugh!! Last Saturday has historically been one of our better days at camp as some of the neighboring properties usually do some drives.

Weathermen are 30% accurate on their projections. I haven’t written off Saturday yet.

Latest I've seen for Pgh area on Saturday, pert near 65 degrees and 1/2" to 3/4" rain. Of course, after 7 weeks of archery, and 1 good weather 1st week of rifle, most legal or at least worthy of taking bucks, are dead here in Eastern Washington County. Still sucks on the weather.

It's starting to snow here. From the looks of the radar we may get a covering.
But.....that was suppose to occur this morning around 5-6 am. So, when I saw no snow I decided to keep working in putting some new cabinets in my garage. For me....that's slow progress as I started it over a week ago. Nothing too hard and the Mr's is a big help.....but now I'm pooped so an afternoon hunt won't be happening today.
No complaints though. Notta one!
