........Softshell Crab that is with only the lungs scraped out. Eat pinchers, legs, shell plus innards!! Had a few of these scrumptious creatures this past week while in VA closing my place!! None of that tedious meat pickin required!!

Lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise on white bread. Legs hanging out the bread. Mayonnaise running down your hands while eating.. I was down Chincoteague the other day Loggy. Stopped at Ropewalk for lunch.

Hard to beat a softie served that way Glenn!! Although...I favor a good horseradish based cocktail sauce vs the mayo. Been to The Ropewalk for a few meals. Good food food served with nice view overlooking Chincoteague Channel. The Mrs really enjoys The Ropewalk. For a long established local place there is Don's Seafood just up the street from Ropewalk. My Don's favorite is "The Heap of Oysters" entre which includes 20 plus delicately steamed Chincoteague salt oysters taken from Don's own oyster bed..

sounds like someone plagiarized a BLT LOL!!! Nah.....you apparently never ate a softshell to think bacon would even remotely compare to a soft shell crab on a sammich or in any other edible form!!

Very true... Not a fan of too much shell fish. two quarts of shucked oysters for frying and a couple of shrimp will do me for the year. Reminds me... time to stop at the sea food store for a quart. I'd sooner have a fish dinner than lobster or crab.
and I've been known to eat a BLT or two a year as well. Not much more than that. I saw last time I was grocery shopping bacon @12.98/lb might be cutting back on my BLT's come to think of it.
