Per study some are out of the 199 tested(2020). Those tested(2020) showed 15% had antibodies to the WNV abeit WNV infection. In 2019 it was 30%. My read is that the turkey has a credible resilience to WNV vs the grouse. Add'l info is forthcoming in connection with the study once lab results are finalized. The more hunters that take time to participate in the study...the better.

Just to add...it costs nothing to participate in the PGC Wild Turkey Blood Sampling. The PGC provides all you need(except a turkey )......included are instructions, test strips, plastic bag & postage paid return envelope.

I've been called a turkey before. What if I just send them a sample of my blood?

I've been called a turkey before. What if I just send them a sample of my blood? Extracting your blood for test strips should be no issue but plucking your breast feathers possibly could!! Please post CLEAR pictures!!
