Looks great! What brassicas did you plant? Our brassicas were a bust this year. Planted them last week of July, rained the next day, then nothing but 90+ degree heat for two weeks. By the time we got rain the weeds had taken hold. I should have turned them under and planted rye but didn't have time.

Dutch, how did these plots fair in past years? All the rain this year certainly had to help, but maybe I'm wrong. I have a couple small areas my son and I were thinking of planting but they would be in direct son in August and some years the rain is mighty scarce.

I have a couple small areas my son and I were thinking of planting but they would be in direct son in August and some years the rain is mighty scarce. Last year was a bust due to severe drought. This year, the ones up top did very well. I didn't seed them, my brother did. The one down low, not the best, I seeded that. It took two weeks longer to catch, and then only in the more moist areas. We had rain, then heat. I think that caused a problem. The ones up top are in a clear cut and tend to be shaded, and damp.

I had similar nissues on a south facing plot, rained, then high heat, and the upper part, that never gets shade, didn't come in very well. The lower part is ok. I seeded right about the same time you did
