I got this guy yesterday about 5:30?? My Trail Cam time is off by 1 hour. He looks like an 8PT, but he's not a shooter IMHO.

I think it may be his second, depending if he's a mountain or farm deer. Depending on the season I would let him walk. Late muzzle loader he's fair game.

My son was checking out his trail cam pics and sent me a few he thought I might be interested in. Guess all I have to do is sit quietly and at the end of hunting season, collect my triple trophy award. Of course, I won't be setting here...exactly. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedI told my son that these bucks are most likely hard horned by now.

Yep, Bedford County, Larry. Twenty-some years ago I lined a depression up on the ridge with some Volclay panels I had left over from one of my projects. I thought that if I could keep a pool of water up on the ridge, the wildlife may not have to travel to off the property to get a drink. It probably looks like a donut from the air because the wildlife has the leaves turned to dust around it from chasing one another. My son just sent me a recent photo from the camera at the water hole and I'll try to get it uploaded.

Well…I can see from the cam info, the location is the water hole. So, all I need to do is search Google Earth for every small pond in Pa.,…..and narrow it down from there!!

I went up the property yesterday afternoon to open a gate for a neighbor whose hauling an old travel trailer off the property. They must have had a gully washer as a few roads showed some ruts. I checked the Water Hole and it was just about level with water. As I suspected, the ground around it is bare from leaves as the game has it trampled. My son just sent me a few pictures from last evening. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
These bucks are still in velvet. The piebald buck is at least three years old. Last year he was a solid seven point. He's pretty easy to see in the woods. I have no idea where he stayed last year to avoid being killed. My earlier post from September 1st, with the pictures of the four bucks, has the piebald buck on the left. Looks like there's at least five nice rack bucks visiting the property.

What are those bears running through Dutch? Looks like a nice, lush food plot.
