That's a big boy! I had to take my wife's car in for inspection at 7:00 am and I had to stop for a heavy, wide antlered buck while he sniffed the road as if he was a vacuum cleaner. It was still dark and there was a pickup parked about 100 yards up the road from it. Maybe he got a chance at it.

This guy might have been the one that came up behind me in the morning. If he would have angled the other way he would have come in at 30yds. If it wasn't they look a lot alike

Talked to a gal yesterday, who frequently hunts our club grounds in bow season. AS of two weeks ago she'd only seen a few small bucks and lots of does. This week she got an eye on the decent 10 point that's around the place. Said the buck was in an area she hadn't set up in, until yesterday. Buck was on the move and heading across at about 40 yards, when it turned and came straight at her. Got within 20 yards facing her, head down most of the time. Didn't present a shot she wanted to take, even at that distance. It finally reversed course and headed out. Guessing that's her new favorite area?

Nice picture, Dave. 70 yds away I did my best! I did think of Dave though when I posted this.

What time was that picture taken? 11-1130 I was figuring it was mid day. After the first week of November I am a firm believer that the hunting doesn't get good till between 10 and 2 for legal bucks.

I was figuring it was mid day. After the first week of November I am a firm believer that the hunting doesn't get good till between 10 and 2 for legal bucks. The girl I mentioned above, has been coming out around noon. She was loading her vehicle as I came up thru the parking lot yesterday on the tractor, around 3:30. Think she had to be someplace, usually stays until dark? She heard the tractor running way out in the woods, which is why she located to a new area yesterday. Forgot to remind her to thank me for moving her to where the buck was. This is the time of the year when we begin to blow leaves off'n our field archery courses. Sometimes disturb a bow hunter, but that's how it is. Gotta get the leaves gone when they're down and dry, or they kill the grass over winter, on those field courses. Usually finish up after I get back from camp in early December. Did get an attaboy last week, for flushing three does out of a gully and right past a couple in a ground blind. Didn't see their blind, until I came up out of that low spot.

Actually saw two bucks one was further down the road right after I took this. My schedule is full and can't do full days unfortunately. Still believe this is the one I saw at daybreak.
