Was up in Sullivan County at my camp last 2 days turkey hunting. Late yesterday afternoon a hunter on the next ridge broke-up a small flock of about 8-10. I got a few return yelps just before dark but that was it. Hunted Friday & Saturday seeing some scratching but that was it. Saw quite a bit of buck rubs & decent deer sign and some bear scat although was at least a week old. Great time in the magnificent mountains already looking fwd to couple days bear hunting coming up!!
First time out this turkey season as my Mrs suffered a mild stroke 2 weeks ago. Thank God it was just in left rear part of brain with only some speech/memory functions mildly impacted. She getting speech & physical therapy 4 times a week with a good prognosis for full recovery. She stays at Daughter's house while I'm away. Still driving with full mobility which is positive.
