I blew the afternoon off yesterday to hunt with my son.The wind was right to hunt a fresh scape that we found on saturday.Around 5:45 Jordan caught movement behind him and sent out a few grunts. The buck came in and Jordan whizzed a slick trick through him at 30 yards. The deer ran 20 yards, stopped, wobbled and fell over.It looks like Dave took the picture but he was a nice high 9 point that was just shy of 17".The young man has been having a good year. He's killed two doe already and limited out on pheas Attachment Deletedants every time we've gone.I think he's only missed one bird so far.

Thanks Rem.He's been having a good season but he's been going out mostly by himself so I haven't had the chance to get my usual high quality pictures. It'bitter sweet. It's cool that he's competent to do everything on his own but kinda sad that he doesn't need the old man anyomore.

Outstanding! You and Jordon are both lucky to get to share such experiences. Great shot, clean kill, quick recovery, and hunting with his dad-Doesn't get better than that. The nice antlers are just icing on the cake.

Thanks fellas. He killed doe number four for the year this past saturday.I bought him a Mathews VXR for Christmas and he beat me at every 3D shoot we went to this past summer. My time in the stand has been cut short most times by a text saying I just dropped one,can you come and help lol?I did get to kill two cock birds on saturday that he missed and that made me feel better about myself.

The nice antlers are just icing on the cake. I believe I'm the lucky one and I've never taken it for granted for one second. My only regret is that his grandfather was never around to experience any of it.I'm not sure what I'm gonna do in a few years.

I'll need a shoulder to cry on. I don't know about all that. But I certainly would get a kick out of seeing you cry for a while.

My dad has been gone nine years, my mom a year later. There are still times when one of my sons do something I am particularly proud of I think how much their grandparents will love hearing about it. I haven't seen any of my sons in almost five weeks. I ain't likin' this at all.
