Was at the gun dealer tonight his shelves were bare. Better stock up if you can find it.

You can't stock up on something that isn't there.

Folks who sale guns and ammo, and the NRA always get a huge boost when it looks like a dem may go into office. The SCOTUS appointment should allow for some breathing room. but hoarders and profiteers will make things tough for ammo buyers. I haven't reloaded for years but I would expect bullets and powder are getting scarce too?

I hardly ever buy ammo unless I get low. My uncle was laughed at for always buying out peoplws reloading stuff. He's the one laughing now. With a walk in gun safe I know where I'm going if stuff breaks loose.

I keep an ample supply of ammo for every firearm I own. Always have, since I was old enough to own firearms. Not because I'm a "hoarder", but because it makes little sense to own firearms, if you don't keep a supply of ammo for them?
When I reloaded on a regular basis, mostly for shooting woodchucks, never had less than a few hundred rounds of that ammo on hand for several rifles. When I shot handguns more than I have lately, same thing applied. Only ever loaded for 38/357 and 44 mag revolvers. Bought factory ammo for 45 and 380 ACP. Only have one 9mm, so that's about the least amount of ammo on hand currently.
22 long rifle? Can't think of a time in my adult life, that I haven't had thousands of rounds of that. Just how it is.

Couple months ago bought some 6.5CM, 45ACP & 9MM and found fairly good availability plus even that previously scarce 22 WMR was available. Haven't cked lately but hunting seasons likely will cause some shortages as always.

6 million first time gun owners @ just 1 box per, can add to the shortage.

I have enough loaded, and enough supplies to get me to the next shortage. Be that a year....be that 3 years. Maybe in year 4 I'll get concerned.

Yep Dave... Those of us who saw the writing on the wall during the Obama years saw fit to be "prudent" for future events... Four years? Well, it'll be over by then. Muab

About the only thing I need is CCI large rifle primers and a pound of IMR 4064, have some but not like I usually have. Found both but not at the price I'm willing to pay, I can substitute if needed. I even found some factory 32 Remington and 32 Winchester Special at a small rural outdoor shop a couple of weeks ago. Problem was he knew what they were worth. As for online sales, the prices are nuts.

The only primers I have to part with are shotgun 209 primers. I've got 800 available that I bought last fall for my in-line. These are Focci (sp) brand. They are made in France....so they don't go "BANG"........they go "LE-BANG"

Walmart got some Fed. and WW 100 round value packs of 12ga target loads in the other week. Gone by lunchtime. They had no other ammo but for a few boxes of 20ga.
I've sold some of my ammo to people that were in need, but not at the prices ammo is fetching on gunbroker.com.
