I thought they had been withdrawn from the market. Maybe that was the human vaccine?
Last year, our gun club was full of ticks. This year, for as much time as I have spent there working, I've only had one or 2.

The shot for humans was withdrawn some years ago. The shot for dogs apparently is working well. Perhaps the reason why I have never contracted Lyme disease is that before they withdrew it I had the first two of the series. My doctor told me that the shot was interfering with diagnosis of Lyme disease and was only about 60% effective. My dogs get a shot every year since my buddy Nick's dogs have all had the disease. My buddy Larry is being treated for it right now. Even though I don't have it, I still spray my outerwear with permethrin on a regular basis. It seems to help. Shame there is no such preventive spray for dogs.
