Did I read somewhere back in April that for the 2020/2021 deer seasons you could no longer transfer a DMAP tag? Think it said that mentor youths must now apply for, and have their own DMAP tag.

Probably. Stupid you can't transfer a tag to a kid. They try everything else but I can't transfer a tag to a kid without one? Just stupid.

I can't seem to find out anything on the internet, and the new 2020/2021 digest isn't available yet. Hopefully I can find something before the 22nd when they go on sale.

Secondly, while mentored hunters under the age of 7 will continue to be issued permits that do not contain deer or turkey harvest tags – meaning the deer and turkey tags they use will continue to be provided through transfer from their adult mentors – mentored hunters of all other ages will be issued their own tags. And finally, mentored hunters ages 7 and older now can apply for their own antlerless deer licenses and Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) permits, as well as migratory bird licenses and pheasant permits. www.media.pa.gov/Pages/Game-Commission-Details.aspx?newsid=382
