With the camera. It's too funny, our, (father and son), hunters of 15 years pulled in about 5:10 this morning and are dutifully settled in our woods trying to get a long beard or two in range. Virtually every year for the past 5 or 6 we have had gobblers in our field and yard while they hunted. Usually they do get a gobbler or two but some years they do not score. The great thing is they always talk about the wonderful time they had hunting. Like last year, a coyote came in when they had two gobblers in range, but behind brush. They didn't get the birds or the coyote but they were excited as all get out over the experience. With that kind of attitude it is easy to invite them back every year.
So, just about twenty minutes ago I noticed 3 hens working their way up from our creek bottom and across the field to our lawn and sure enough mr. tom wasn't too far behind them.
Maybe he'll make his way to the woods for our guys but I think the hens got him pretty well occupied. Took this picture from the upstairs office window.
