Kate and I were talking this morning and wondering why this year the turkeys are staying here all day every day. We've always had a few in our fields and close to the house during struttin season but this year it is way beyond just passing through. Yesterday and theday prior we had turkeys wake us up with gobbling and they were here until time to roost.
This morning they demonstrated a new level of being comfortable here by just plain bedding down by Kate's flower bed within 30 yards of oru house:

Your a much feared great hunter there BB!! I haven't hunted turkeys the last several years. They found a safe haven here. We do have friends who hunt them though.

Bush hogging last year's switch grass today at the club. Kicked out two hens, about a hundred yards apart. Figured they're most likely nested, so let those two areas be. First turkeys I've seen around there since right after deer season.

Nice Pic's Buzz......just slightly fuzzy and sideways. I assume you posted 'em sideways in order to compete with me.......but it's tough to compete with a professional fuzzy photo taker such as myself.

Lol, I obviously wasn't paying attention in your online class that day. No idea why they posted sideways, but if I click on them (using Mac laptop) they show up right side up ? Posted them same way I always do ? I always use my phone to post pic's. Its a droid, and I did not take pic's in landscape (sideways) ...... so , once again, I am confused... Guess I need to send another check and sign up for " Pictures by Dave 2.0" ........lol

They turned righways for me when I clicked. Gobblers woke us up around 5:45 but there aren't any deer here this morning for some odd reason. Maybe they went over to your place.......they look familiar.
