We have had turkeys in our yard every single day for at least 4 weeks. Some days there are 4 toms and other days only 1 or 2 but always the same 3 hens it seems.
One hen in particular is fond of the sunflower seed that gets dropped from our feeders and the toms have learned that they are safe to hang nearby.
Now I wouldn't question a turkeys likes or dislikes but I never could find a bearded lady that turned me on.

Several years ago a flock would strut\eat their way across my backyard. This bearded lady was in the flock. I saw her for maybe 3 years and then she was seen no more. I'm sure she was a tough dinner for whatever got her.

Every year since moving to the hills I think there has been at least 1 bearded hen and some years 2 of them around.

Been 3 long beards out by pond every day. I don't have a good camera to get pics, cell phone doesn't work great at 140 yards. Been out in woods all morning clearing paths for UTV. Saw a few turkeys, when I came back to my yard, I scared one of the long beards off.
Nice pic's by the way.

My pictures were taken at about 10 yards. lol, Deer get that close to house all the time, turkeys never much closer than 60/70 yards. You do get some great pic's !! We do enjoy seeing the critters out here. Our normal ducks showed up this spring, and a couple geese yesterday, wood chucks been by edge of woods past couple years, which was coincidently about the time the bobcat disappeared. Had 2 black bear walk by pool and beside house last summer in broad daylight. Got the orange and white Coy fish in the pond, granddaughter loves feeding them (so do we). Like the country life, except in the winter, then I like my Fla life.......
