Daffodils are poked up about 8" in my yard. The ramps should start poking around 30 days or so here in SW PA

I just happened to look at one of my patches yesterday-no sign of them at all. But no sign of the daffodils either. I've been boiling sap for syrup the last few days. It ran well yesterday, not a drip yet to day and it just snowed enough to whiten the ground again. It's been an easy winter so far but I am ready for spring.

I don't record keep. At my age now, really won't be worth it. That said, I wish I would have for all things natural that I love to participate in. When did the ramps, mushrooms, berries, etc... first appear on any given year ? Things like that.
So relying on a failing memory, I can't say I remember seeing ramps poke up any sooner than mid-march here in SW PA ?

Attachment Deleted I take umbrage... Perhaps if I mentioned taking leeks in the woods I could more easily understand your assertion; however my sense of decorum and my undying support to my pal fleepoo prevented this lapse of judgement.

If you hurry up, you can get your walk in without it. At least... it's not raining here as of now anyhow.

Does that mean that if you caught me going 32 in a 25, in your former life, you would have issued ol' fleapoo a warning instead of a citation ? Hard questions deserve hard answers.
