Was at the range the other day. Wind gust up to 15mph. I knew it was windy without the Walkers in.....but when I put them in, it didn't make enough of a difference to say these are bad in the wind. On the contrary, I give 'em an "A" for the wind.
Now, the other thing I noticed was when the amplification was up......the muzzle blast from other guys on the range was bad!! It "hurt" when I had the volume up. OTOH, I turned the volume down and could carry on a normal conversation, and then MB was fine. Again....these don't do what other electronic muff's I had did. The muff's cut all sound out. These don't do that. They tone everything down to the volume you have it set at. That's the best way i can describe it.
Also, I was at the range for about 1.5 hours and the batteries held up just fine. Time will tell on the longevity of batteries and the little plugs.
FWIW

www.midwayusa.com/product/1022561693?pid=424434These are the one's I have. I'm pretty sure I got 'em on sale for about $150. No bluetooth.....but I don't see a benefit of that. The rechargeable batteries work very well. They cut out the firearm noise and still allow for normal conversation. Of course....if you have 'em in and don't turn 'em on......who knows what you can't hear!!

My Wife's 90 year old uncle in a nursing home got new batteries in his hearing aid & asked the nurse "can you hear me better now?".....true story!!

Is that model just for hearing protection?? If your asking about the link CSpot posted, it's the muff that lets you chat normally, and then cuts the blast out to protect hearing. I was disappointed in how long mine lasted.

Probably depends upon what kid in China put them together on what day. LOL.

I started taking Magnesium and Calcium everyday for the last few weeks. Still have the tinnitus but it did tame it down some which is a help.

Odd thing about hearing loss from shooting without ear protection. Been shooting since I was about 8 or 9 with no protection. Even into adulthood, never started regularly using ear plugs or muffs until well into my 40s. My hearing is still perfect. despite decades of abuse. Add in many years of operating noisy construction equipment, diesel tractors, chain saws and hammer drills, still can hear pretty well. Have several pairs of plain muffs and an older pair of Walker muffs. Individual batteries in each muff. One switch was left on and that battery went dead, so now they're just plain muffs. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to change the batteries and they'll be Game Ears again? There's probably a You tube video on how to do that?
