I think our area peaked on Tuesday. Lots of rain yesterday and very high winds today.
Here's a drone shot from 150' above the house. Click for full view:

The Fulton Fall Folk Festival started today and we took the little ones down to Akersville by way of the Akersville Road where they had a few programs and crafts people. I don't think the woods are at peak here but they're getting close. Those kids sure enjoy the outdoors.

Was up at camp last week, Tuesday to Saturday. As usual, leaves about half or more gone right around camp. Next valley over to the east, beautiful peak foliage down that road. Pretty much like that every fall up there. On the way to town, one side of that five mile drive barely changed, other side getting to the halfway stage. There was a period of time back in the early 80s, when I never made it up during peak foliage season, due to work demands. Got up there each fall for turkey seasons and the trees were already bare. First time I managed to get up to camp around Columbus Day was late 80s my parents and son were already up there. Fall color was so good, stopped part way up Steam Valley mountain early that morning, pulled off, poured a cup of coffee from the thermos and sat on the guard rail to enjoy the view and that crisp fall aroma. Someone pulled over, asked if I needed help. Said nope, got all I need now, but thanks.

SW PA, save for the Laurel Mtn Ridges, rarely sees brilliant colors. Most years, the trees just seem to go from a drab green, to falling off. There are some years when you can see some fair Yellow from Maples, and Scarlet from the Oaks together. But not the norm lately.
