Hi Fellows, I'm your neighbor from the East, located in Dutchess County and plan to hunt this season in PA hence the account creation. I'm an outdoor guy like many of you love to hunt, fish, shooting guns and watch football :-) I'm a NY Jets fan so Pittsburgh might have some issues with me but I have a think skin and can take the abuse, after all I'm NY Jets fan...lol. Looking for friends in PA and your local wisdom on what to do and what NOT to do. My target area will be most likely eastern counties (Pike, Wayne Lackawana, Monroe, etc.) so let the new guy know what to avoid. Wondering whether public land is still good to go or it is something to avoid due to crowds. Hunting mainly deer and small game, caliber of choice is from small to large .17HMR .22 .223/5.56 300BLK 30-06 depends on the game. Coming from shotgun county we shooting slugs at home but would love to bring my ARs to PA and have some fun besides the range. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. My company JollyBuy Inc. is also FFL Importer/dealer so if you have any firearms business between our states I can be of service. JollyGun.com for more details if you need more info. Hit me up of you need some info about NY hunting. Looking forward to have some fun here.

Well, he did say he has “think skin”, so he will discover quickly thinking on this forum is for sissies. Welcome to the forum. Been a little slow lately, but generally a good bunch of cantankerous old blowhards..

Thanks guys. "...cantankerous old blowhards..." is what I'm after :-) After all they know it all right? Maybe I can learn a thing or two. As for Lev Bell, I say give the man a chance, it's show me the money time, I want to see the old "3 yards and the cloud of dust" runs (maybe a bad reference on this site)...lol

Well. If you don't like his running, perhaps you can enjoy his rapping. Methinks ol' Lev is more concerned with getting his rap career started, and less about the "cloud of dust" thingy. The big Q for the Jets... How good is their O-Line ? Good, a better chance for that cloud-o-dust thingy. Bad, fuhgeddaboutit.

NY Jet's don't actually have "fan's".....more like critics who watch from the stands and the bar TV's.

Isn't that pretty much what they say about Philadelphia fans (pick your sport)?

The resident curmudgeon here would have to be DennyF. I come in a close second. Since you want advice on how to hunt, especially coming from an old fart, here it comes. Go way back in to get those big bucks, unless they live close to the road.

Denny's version of "way back" is tipping a little further back in the rocking chair on the front porch of his cabin..........

Welcome. My place isn't far from NY, but it's the "good part", as in western NY (Steuben Co.). I ain't a curmudgeon. I am a cranky old bastard. There is a difference. Buzz(ard), no rocking chair on my cabin porch yet, but if you can spare one of yours, I'd take it.
