Had the new pup out today. We put chukars in small cages and hid them along trails. She found them time and time again. One time, she was running hell bent, top speed, down a trail, ran past one, got a whiff, and came to a screcching halt, and went back to the bird! My brother and I were amazed at her. I shot 5 chukars today, and she did not flinch even a little. She took a short nap on my lap between training sessions, as we sat by the wood stove. smg.beta.photobucket.com/user/Dutch2/media/MOV01250_zpsdc43a722.mp4.html

When you buy a puppy you buy a bucket of hope. Looks and sounds like your bucket is pretty full!!

Glad we have the facility we do to be able to train her. That will be a big help, thats for sure.

Earlier today you mentioned that if she wasn't birdy, yer buddy would have a new "pet". Now you want to keep her? Sounds good to me. Pop needs a new pup at camp to yell at for going in his bedroom! LOL

I believe I shall keep her. Just be careful with her at the club, I don't trust that JohnS fella. He just might stick her in his coat and dognap her. ;D Actually, I think a couple of guys today were ready to do that.
