Pat brought his two setters along today. Ms. Doris had the job of getting some photos, and here are a few for your enjoyment. Pat's dog Belle on point. Classy lady she is.

All three setters worked this fencerow for about five minutes until they nailed one. Ms. Doris missed the photo of all three on the bird, one pointing and two backing.

The preserve season is over this Sunday. We have one more hunt scheduled for Friday and then that will be it until fall. Nothing beats a good day afield with some good friends and some setters to do the bird work. I thank the good Lord that I am lucky enough to have those good friends, some great setters, and a few more such days.

Nice pics. Any day out with the dogs is a good day. What lines is that Belle dog from?

I don't know the breeding of any of the dogs in the photos. Our dog Mugs was rescued from the local animal shelter and no papers came with him. Pat's dogs are registered, but I would have to ask him what line they are from and will do so when I get the chance (if of course my CRS syndrome doesn't kick in). some local dogs are from Ryman stock, but his are not. Most Ryman setters are quite heavily ticked.
