We did another chukar hunt at Royal United on Saturday. Mugs had some company. Pat brought his two setters along. It was great watching the dogs do their thing. Unfortunately we left the good shooters at home. We only killed five of the birds. It was not the dogs fault. Dutch mentioned how chukars can burrow into cover and be hard to find. On this one, Pat had to get down on his hands and knees and we did finally find and flush the bird. I was under the tuft of grass in front of Pat. Of course nobody hit it.

Is Pat a pointing dog? Not sure what kind he would be. Never saw one with that weird orange coloration. Lol

Whatever breed Pat is, he needs more training. His leg needs to be straighter and he's not pointing worth a damn!
