Mainly asking for those who have kids that left the nest but also for those who still havem at home. Curious do you tell them that you love them at least daily or whenever you talk to them on the phone etc??? Sometimes I forget but then when mine says after my forgetfullness: "Luv ya Dad"...just humbles this ole fart!!

I'm divorced and have 50% custody of both of my kids (11 & 13). On days that I don't have them I tell them I love them on the phone before they go to bed and have since my ex and I were first seperated in 2006. On days they are with me I probably tell my daughter at least 5 or 6 times a day and my son at least 3 or 4. They both have cell phones now so on my way to work every day I send them both a "love u" text too.

3 Kids. All adults now from my youngest (daughter 24) to my 2 sons (28 & 30) I "tell" them everytime I talk to them. I "show" them no less than 24/7.
Also divorced when the kids were very young. First wife and I decided right away to be adults about it. No custody battles, no courts, etc.... To this day my ex and I are friends, and my sons and I are best friends.

I grew up in a house that never said I love you much if at all. It just wasn't something that needed to be said, it was a given I guess. I do tell my boys (3 yrs. and 4 months old) that I love them before they go to bed as does my wife. Sometimes my oldest even says it back now. We'll see what happens when they are older though. I guess we are just kindler and gentler than the last generation
