Price of oil fell $5 a barrel today.
Just bought a used Honda Civic. First trip to Tioga County, I got 40 MPG. Sure beats 14 or 15 outta the Chebbie Silverado.

Price's fell a little here in Jersey... I paid $3.65 today... These prices are killing me as I drive 100 miles round trip every day to work.. That F150 sure is thirsty all the time... Got to get my VW back on the road..
With the severe drought this year in the Mid-West I can see price's going back up because of Etanol... All corn field's around us in Illinois were a bust and ground up for silage... Corn produces Etanol..

I bought a used Honda Civic the other week from my nephew. What a difference in fuel costs compared to my pickup. 37-40 mpg on a trip to Tioga County. I can live with that, easily.

Just checked, gas on the futures market is at $2.83 a gallon. Last week it was at $3.00 per gallon, so, upward pressure on prices, has eased, for sure. But that can change quickly.

Up 8 cents today on the futures market. Must already be factoring in a warm winter prediction. They will get the cash flow either way...

Did you keep the truck? Probably couldn't give that Government Motors vehicle away though I've given thought to getting rid of my truck b/c of the costs not only to fill it up but tires, etc. I wouldn't downgrade as much as you but would probably pick up a used Subaru which I could still drive just about everywhere at camp that I take my truck now. I like everything about having a truck but filling it up and I don't even drive it that far. I don't know how some people who drive more do it.

Bake, I kept the truck, but the car is getting a good workout. I do need the truck, but, like you, hard to justify it for every day use.

Sorry to hear that, I would have saved you a pump if you told me you were gonna fill up that little tank. Barring any more tension in the mideast prices should continue their downward trend. Course I've been wrong a 100 times in the last 22 years! Pure Gas Available at Charlies.

When Bush left office the price of gas was about $1.86 a gallon. Today's gas prices are part of that "Hope & Change" plan that tha Marxist in Chief spoke about. Remember when Candidate Obama was touting his energy plan and he said "Under my plan, energy prices would necessarily skyrocket?" Most of America ignored what he said, and now they got what they deserved. Just wait until hyper inflation hits us because of all the "Quantitative Easing" and you can't afford food.

Why, when discussing politics, must words like "Marxist in Chief" be used?
This type stuff is killing our nation. We are so polarized due to the hate that fills our airwaves and that is spewed on blogs and by commentators that seek to PROFIT from spreading hate.
These are treasonous people, on BOTH sides, and they should be shot as traitors.

Just call by proper name & address the facts if its within your ability to do do.
