3 years ago that field was covered in elk with screaming bulls evening and night. It was fun watching. Last year, it was a deer cam. Mostly deer in it. This year a smattering of both but way less activity than 3 years ago. Not sure why the elk don't frequent it as much as they used too.

Acorns....... there's tons of acorns and the cows are staying in the timber. Where the cows are the bulls are.

I've checked it on occasion. One evening there were two cows in the field. Then a very nice high rack buck (you would not need to count points on that big boy) came out. Then another Y 4 pointer came out and waltzed over to the big guy. As the two bucks were there, one of the cows sauntered over and when she got close.....the bucks just took off!!
