I have an electric vest and electric socks from "The Warming Store." At first blush, you would say that $200 for a pair of good electric socks.....that last ALL DAY is just plain nutz to buy. However, I spent that $200 7 years ago and the socks work today like they did when new. And I hunt....or did hunt a lot with 'em in the first 5 years.

Only been the past few years that I regularly wear gloves in rifle seasons. Never used any "hot hands", but did buy them for my son when he was a kid and for my gal, when she still came up in doe seasons.
If it gets really cold and windy these days, or we have steady rain, I climb into my little trailer out in the hay field. Gets cold enough, I fire up the Little Buddy propane heater for short periods. Took me several seasons to use up the first little green Coleman bottle for that thing, but it feels good some days.
Got carried away buying those bottles when I got the heater for Christmas some years ago. Think I have three more two packs of them green bottles yet, to use?

We use them regularly when it gets cold. I have taken the little buddy heater along when it gets really nasty.

I use them...can help keep you on the hunt longer! Had my daughter covered with them last year. I stick one of those big ones on the back of my neck. Shrug a little every now and then to feel the warmth.

IMHO.....the "cat's meow" for keeping your core body warm is Gerbing Heated Softshell Vest, Camouflage - 7V Battery I purchased one like 8 years ago and it's still working like there's no tomorrow. I take two extra 7-V batteries and with the unit on medium (two battery lights) AND (very important) keeping my outer coat zipped up ALL THE WAY, this little vest will keep me warm all day. Generally, two batteries will carry the day......but if it's extra cold or windy.....the third will come in very handy. Extra cold or windy days I will usually kick up the battery to 3 lights. Well worth staying warm!!!
