Bear meat is much better than deer That depends imo. A deer steak is better then a bears but a bear roast is better then a deers. Not in my book. Bear steak for me.

I like venison a lot. I also like beef. But if it weren't for bacon, I could do without anything from a pig.

I bet it's Snyder's bar. People been spelling my last name that way ever since I can remember. your right, I didnt realize I spelled it wrong till you pointed it out You have lots of company. About 50 % of people seem to spell Snyder "Synder".

Different strokes for different folks. Caribou is better than any of it. But Bison trumps that.

Man, I hate to think I'm missing out on all that "grittiness" I don't recall any grittiness. And I've eaten from half a dozen bears including one of my own.

I think my favorite is moose but I've only had it a few times. I used to get some buffalo from a guy who raised them. I like it a lot, but I've heard he doesn't sale meat any more.

I remember from my dads the texture of a bear steak is definitely different then anything I ever tasted. My dad agreed with me.

I just was saying didnt mean anything by it. My cousin shot one up in Maine years ago. Then I liked the steak but he didnt. When I had my dads his had a gritty texture to it. The roasts were great though. His was over 400lbs so that may have been the reason?

My bear was only 120# but it was outstanding table fare. But then my dad shot a 290# Sow that was just as good as my Boar.
