I would have no idea these days what to do with mine ! I use to just bag them and the trash took them. Now days there are people working at the dumps that would trace the trash back to where it came from and try to cause you problems ? If you have a catch of any good amount how would you bury them ? If you skin them and put them in the woods people will find them and i have seen on the news that they are looking for some one killing and skinning dogs[ foxes] and throwing the bodies away ! I haven't trapped or coon hunted since the mid - 80s.

The PGC states that it's perfectly legal to dispose of an animal carcass into the trash.

If you have some land, or if you trap for a landowner that will allow it, throw them out along you trapline. I think it's a shame that critter get thrown in the trash when they could feed other critters at a time of year when things are tough for them. I'd never make a big carcass pile anywhere, but especially where someone might be bothered in some way by it. Even folks who love to eat hot dogs would probably like it a lot less if the saw what goes into making them. It the same for some of the things hunters and trapper do.

In my younger days I was known to have eaten a muskrat or two whose skin was on the stretcher.
