Not a goose or a duck but they do migrate. Amazing how far North these birds fly. Pennsylvania Game Commission This spring, Game Commission biologists placed satellite transmitters on Pennsylvania lesser black-back gulls to determine their summer breeding grounds. As of May 21, two lesser black-backed gulls are in Greenland, with five more traveling north and west more gradually. It’s difficult to be patient, but only time, and satellite unit tracking information, will tell us if the lesser black-backed gulls will spend the breeding season in Greenland, continue to Iceland or even further east.
