When powder ,brass ,primers and bullets were near impossible to get ! That sure put a crimp in my bench time back then . I would go shoot 3 or 4 times a week. That dropped to 1 if i was lucky ! I am well resupplied now but the desire to go often was taken away by that shortage ! It was sort of like being put into a "Shooters Rehab?" It worked ! I became very frugal ! Now i just try loads to be sure it will hit a deer at 100 yards with in a 1 to 3 inch circle ? Did you slow down shooting due to this shortage also ?

I remember it well. .22 longrifle ammo was next to impossible to find, and when you did find some the price was way above normal. Fortunately I stocked up on it when a brick cost about $10, and had a plentiful supply. As to reloading, I have an overstocked warehouse, so nothing got hit too hard. Mostly I slowed down my shooting due to age, not shortages.

No. I shot weekly up until Nov 2016 which is when I had my heart attack. I didn't shoot rimfire because of all that but I was able to shoot all the centerfire I decided. Now of course I wasn't shooting 223 or 308. I shot a crap load of 270 and 30-06 in those days though.
