Wunder if George Trulock has any opinions re his choke designed specifically for the Federal #7 heavyweights(now discontinued) being used for the newer Fed TSS offerings??

Gppd question. The new shells still have the same flight control wad so I'd assume those chokes would shoot the new shells well.

Heard back from Trulock. They said the Precision Trulock Choke also patterns the new Federal TSS 7's well. I recently bought 10 boxes of the old HW's #7 from Rogers plus with whut I already have....should be good for a while.

I like to fling arrows at them so I have been getting the new Ravin R20 all set up and ready to go. Here is a pretty solid 40 yard group. Attachment Deleted

For $2000, that thing should shoot a little better than my $400 bow. LOL Honestly, is it all that much better for the price difference? It has some pretty nice features including a integrated cocking mechanism and a tiny front end. When it is cocked the front end is narrower than your hand. I would never recommend it to someone unless their budget is high. Anybody can hunt and kill game successfully with a $400 crossbow quite well.

Nice bow......but if I'm spending $2-K on something that launches a projectile, it's gonna be a higher quality rifle. Rifles in general hold their value. Crossbows and compound bows just don't.

I "Fired up" the Savage bolt action chambered in 6.5x55 Swede with a Shilen barrel. This is a 6 shot group fired 4-29-18 at 300 yards. Hornady 140gr ELD's over H-4895. This is my long distance load......but 300 yards is a chip shot for this load. This will usually shoot a tighter group.....but it was a bit cold yesterday!!!

Some mighty fine shootin there Dave!!
I shoot factory Hornady Superformance 140 grain Interlocks out of my 6.5 Swede and they lay one on top of each other. The 140 grain seems to be the optimum bullet weight for the Swede. I do use the Norma ORYX 156 grainers for bear though.
